The White House Staff is incharge of the daily opperations of the White House and serve as important influencers and advisers to the President.

Very important to pray for is our national security leadership, which includes the National Security Council as well as the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The legislative branch of government is incharge of writing our laws. Your senators (two from each state) represent you in in the U.S. Senate - the upper house of Congress.

Your representative to the U.S. House of Representatives, elected to two year terms, represents you in the lower house of Congress.
Congressional leadership is extremely important as it can determine what bills or laws are even considered, debated, and voted on in our Congress.

The Judicial Branch interprets our laws. Under the Supremacy Clause and Article III of the U.S. Constitution, the Supreme Court is the final arbiter and decider of any dispute regarding the meaning or interpretation of a law. With the power of Judicial Review, the Supreme Court has the power to strike down any law in the nation as unconstitutional.

With all the layers of government in our unique federal system of government, things can change a lot. You will want to regularly review your prayer guide and make changes as leaders change. We recommend that you check every May and December (as elections are generally held in April and November).
